Coffee with Kevin started as a simple idea: sit down with interesting people over a cup of Coast Roast coffee and have a real conversation. 133 episodes later, it has become a catalog of the people, businesses, and stories that make New Orleans what it is.
The show started filming at St. Roch Market, moved to the Magazine Street flagship, and eventually returned to St. Roch. Guests have included Jose Mendoza, the Honduran coffee farmer who supplies Coast Roast's beans; AJ, Coast Roast's roaster who works the Royal No. 6 machines; Amanda Shaw, the New Orleans fiddler and musician; Clancy DuBos from Gambit magazine; Patricia David, who owns the fabric store across Magazine Street; and dozens of other local business owners, artists, and community members.
Kevin uses the show to go deep on topics most coffee shops never talk about. Episodes cover everything from how coffee gets from a mountainside in Honduras to your cup, to the economics of running a small business in New Orleans, to the story behind each Coast Roast blend. It is unscripted, unpolished, and real.
